Galerie Kern, based in Küsnacht, Switzerland, is the brainchild of Moritz Vischer, a production engineer with a love of elegant yet simple solutions to complex problems. It is an ongoing project that probes the many diffrent new channels of expressing the love of art.
Galerie Kern commissions selected artists to create a series of works to a given theme that highlights and questions humanity and technology. Although each co-hort of artists is given the same theme, it is fascinating to see how each artists interprets the theme and yet, the common thread can be found. The culmination of these works are exhibited together, allowing the viewer to gain a new perspective on the theme.
We believe it is important to commission up-and-coming artists and present them in a curated manner to the public.
